Swan sculpture, carved out of Teak root wood and features accentuated with Sterling Silver head, tail and legs with the eyes set on black onyx. Exquisitely intricate details of skilled craftsmanship are visible on the Silver texture of the piece.  Each piece will slightly vary due to the unique shape and size of the raw materials carved. Pieces like these are often used for decorating flowers, serving fruits and making a strikingly elegant centerpiece of a drawing room. 

The Swan is the carrier bird of Brahma, the Hamsa and a precious mythological bird of good luck. It symbolizes grace, beauty, love, trust, and loyalty and linked to inner beauty and self-love. A pair of swans represent soul mates for life. In various other cultures its totem varies – In Chinese mythology, the swan is a symbol of yang and considered a solar bird; In Ancient Greece, the swan stood for the soul and was linked to Apollo, the god of the Sun; Christians believe the swan to be a symbol of grace and purity. 

The teak root was sourced from the finest teak plantations in Java, Indonesia, which is known to have the ideal conditions for high grade Teak quality. Teak is the common name for the tropical hardwood tree species Tectona grandis and its wood products, native to South and Southeast Asia. It is known for its incredible durability and water resistance. Teak has a high oil content, giving it the highest decay-resistance among all-natural wood products. Due to its durability, while it is still used for boat building, yachts, exterior construction, indoor and outdoor furniture, it also very dear to artists and sculptors for making intricate carvings and elaborate sculptures. Lotus Arts de Vivre uses various free-formations of the teak branches, teak root or driftwood to further hand-carve and create its designs, giving wood a second life.
 
It takes 2 months to create a piece with as many as 7 designers and craftsmen involved at various stages.
