Sculpture made from a single piece of rare Japanese Burl wood and embellished with a sterling silver Ram, the eyes of the Ram are set with Citrine, emphasizing its striking details and the golden horns which made out of silver decorated with 24K Gold-leaf, the face and feet are black Rhodium silver. The piece is set on black granite stand.
The ram signifies new stimulation of mental faculties, imagination, and inspiration--along with the energy to act upon it. The ram represents the power to penetrate, overcome, and achieve. It reflects the assertion of strength in creative ways to achieve a breakthrough. It is also associated with sacrifice.
Rolf von Bueren, an avid burl wood collector for over 35 years, personally travels to Japan to look for rare and beautiful pieces of burl woods including this majestic piece. Burls result in a uniquely patterned wood, which is highly prized for its beauty. It is valued and sought after by artists, furniture makers and sculptors.
After sourcing the wood, this piece took 2 months with over 8 designers and craftsmen involved at various stages to finish it.
