Sculpture of Chinese legend “FU”, crafted from a single piece of camphor wood, with the smiling face elegantly decorated in Sterling Silver. The forehead and the auspicious scroll have been crafted from Gold-plated Sterling Silver. The deity has been brought to life with Lapis Lazuli stud earrings and a Ruby at the forehead.

Lotus Arts de Vivre through pure artistry has transformed the ancient Chinese legends of Fu Xing, Lu Xing and Shou Xing, into sculptures. Popularly known as “Hok-Lok-Siu” they stand for the highest priorities in Chinese life: fortune (fú 福) and prosperity (lù 禄) and longevity (shòu 寿). Called the Sanxing, they represent Jupiter, Ursa Major, and Canopus in Chinese astrology. Their iconic representation as three, old, bearded, wise men date back to the Ming dynasty and are found on the facades of folk religion's temples and ancestral shrines, in nearly every Chinese home and many Chinese-owned shops on small altars with auspicious offerings, especially during Chinese New Year.

Specifically, the God “Fu” represents prosperity and abundance and a symbol of symbol of wealth and fertility. He also depicts a character of an intellectual noble in a scholar's dress, holding a scroll, sometimes conflated with Caishen, the "Wealth God". Often seen holding a child, or surrounded by children, it is believed he helps couples to overcome childlessness.

After sourcing the camphor wood, this piece took 5 weeks with over 5 designers and craftsmen involved at various stages to finish it.
