This peacock sculpture is crafted from a natural Lingzhi specimen, with the body delicately embellished in sterling silver and the feathers designed to fan out organically with the form of the Lingzhi itself. Turquoise stones accent the eyes, introducing a subtle touch of colour. The peacock is perched on a sculpted red wood base, further adorned with finely detailed sterling silver mushroom motifs.

For centuries, the mysterious Lingzhi fungus has occupied a revered place in the cultures of East Asia — a symbol of longevity, harmony, wisdom, and spiritual power. Known in China as the “Mushroom of Immortality,” Lingzhi once adorned imperial courts, sacred temples, and the private collections of scholars and nobles.

At Lotus Arts de Vivre, these extraordinary natural formations are rediscovered not merely as botanical wonders, but as living sculptures shaped patiently by nature itself. Formed over many years upon ancient hardwood trees, each Lingzhi develops unique concentric layers, dramatic textures, and sculptural silhouettes that can never be replicated by human hands.

Guided by imagination and craftsmanship, LAdV transforms these rare organic treasures into poetic works of art. Majestic owls emerge from weathered contours. Peacocks unfold from naturally flowing forms. Mythical creatures, birds, and forest spirits appear as though hidden within the fungus for decades, waiting to be revealed. Through delicate carving, precious materials, and artistic interpretation, each creation becomes a dialogue between nature and human creativity.

The Lingzhi Collection embodies one of the founding philosophies of Lotus Arts de Vivre: discovering beauty in the rare, the forgotten, and the impossible. No two pieces are ever alike. Each sculpture carries the memory of time, growth, and transformation — preserving the quiet power of nature.

Part natural history, part mythology, and part sculpture, the Lingzhi Collection reflects LAdV’s enduring fascination with the intersection of nature, culture, and craftsmanship. These are not simply decorative objects, but timeless symbols of wisdom, protection, longevity, and wonder — transformed into heirlooms for the modern world.

It took eight master craftsmen with a combined production time of 3 months to complete the Peacock.
