Iceglow Swan Lake Bowl-Size L

A graceful swan takes form in this sculptural bowl collaboration between LAdV and GORDON GU. The swan’s head, neck, and feet are hand-moulded by LAdV’s master artisans, capturing every delicate feather and poised movement in meticulous detail before being cast in brass with a rich golden finish. Cradled beneath is a luminous, crystal-like bowl featuring ‘Glacier Crystal’, an engineered resin technology, patented and perfected by GORDON GU. Assembled in Thailand, this piece embodies a cross-cultural exchange of craftsmanship and artistry between both the brands.

Spiritually, the Swan is the carrier bird of Brahma, the Hamsa and a precious mythological bird of good luck. It symbolises grace, beauty, love, trust, and loyalty and linked to inner beauty and self-love. A pair of swans represent soul mates for life. In various other cultures its totem varies – In Chinese mythology, the swan is a symbol of Yang and considered a solar bird; In Ancient Greece, the swan stood for the soul and was linked to Apollo, the God of the Sun; Christians believe the swan to be a symbol of grace and purity. 

Over 2 months of were spent to create this piece with over 9 designers and craftsmen involved across the brand’s ateliers in Thailand and China.
