Hissing and Swirling Silver Snake Conch Shell Ashtray

A beautiful orange conch shell, transformed into an ashtray with a sterling silver hissing, swirling snake and further sterling silver accents. The cigar rest is removable, allowing the piece to serve another purpose beyond its use as an ashtray.

The shell remains in its organic form, left untouched before being designed upon. It was sourced from Australia, near the Coral and Tasman Seas. Its orange colour is formed by the waters in which the organism lived and its diet; shells found in Australia’s warmer waters are often more colourful than those from colder regions, such as Maine, due to the greater diversity of food sources in tropical waters.
