The teak root was sourced from the finest teak plantations in Java, Indonesia, renowned for their ideal conditions for producing high-grade teak. With a high oil content, teak offers the highest decay resistance among natural wood products. While it is still used in boat building, yachts, exterior construction, and indoor and outdoor furniture, teak is also cherished by artists and sculptors for creating intricate carvings and elaborate sculptures. Lotus Arts de Vivre uses various free formations of teak branches, roots, and driftwood to hand-carve and create unique designs, giving the wood a second life.
This piece took approximately 1.5 months, involving the skilled efforts of over five designers and craftsmen at various stages.
