This espresso cup is crafted in eggshell porcelain by LAdV artisans in China. Renowned for its exceptionally thin, lightweight, and translucent body, eggshell porcelain is celebrated for its delicate, paper-like quality. The technique originated in China during the Ming Dynasty, where it became a symbol of refinement and mastery.
Inspired by Turkey’s deep-rooted coffee culture, we developed a decorative design of our own—pairing a lotus leaf–shaped saucer with a sculptural lotus flower handle to create a piece that is both elegant and ceremonial.
