Antique Tibetan Horse Saddle with Diamonds

Lotus Arts de Vivre proudly presents this antique Tibetan horse saddle adorned with a 100 year old antique saddle carpet from Nepal and Ningxia, China. The carved iron grid in front was produced in Derge, one of the three ancient centres of Tibetan culture. 

LAdV has embellished it with antique brocade lined green Galuchat leather and Gold plated Sterling Silver dragons chasing Diamonds.

This exquisite saddle is mounted on a fine quality liana wood stand and decorated with Sterling silver horse legs.

These type of  saddles were used only for ceremonies and the main value is in the Derge iron work , which involves hand carving of iron and mercury gilding.

The saddle is from the late Ming or early Qing period.
