A Thai Evening in Zurich
Lotus Arts de Vivre brought its world of Thai artistry, Asian craftsmanship, and storied natural materials to Switzerland during a private evening in Zurich, hosted by Nicki and Sri von Bueren together with Natacha Matter and Manou Steiger-Henri.
More than a presentation of objects, the evening was conceived as a cultural encounter: an opportunity to share the heritage of Lotus Arts de Vivre, the stories behind its creations, and the remarkable hands that continue to shape them. Guests were invited into a specially curated experience that reflected the atelier’s long-standing relationship with collectors, friends of the house, and those drawn to craftsmanship with depth, character, and history.
Held at Club zum Rennweg, just steps from Bahnhofstrasse, the event unfolded within one of Zurich’s most discreet and intimate private settings. Spread across three floors, the club combines historic charm with sophisticated lounge spaces, curved wooden elements, warm atmospheric lighting, and a summer rooftop terrace. Its secluded character offered the ideal environment for a close viewing of Lotus Arts de Vivre’s jewellery, art objects, and pieces from its Cabinet of Curiosities.
The setting echoed many of the qualities central to the atelier itself: natural materials, rich metals, precious woods, and a sense of discovery that reveals itself gradually rather than immediately. Within this atmosphere, guests encountered some of Lotus Arts de Vivre’s most iconic creations, from sculptural jewellery and gem-set objects to decorative works that sit between art, design, and personal collection.
The evening also reflected the importance of hospitality in the Lotus Arts de Vivre world. With refined food and beverage service, intimate conversation, and spaces designed for both viewing and mingling, the event allowed guests to engage with the works at an unhurried pace. Each object became a point of conversation, not only for its beauty, but for the materials, techniques, and cultural references carried within it.
At its heart, the Zurich evening was a celebration of Lotus Arts de Vivre’s heritage and clientele. It brought together meaningful conversations, new friendships, and cultural exchange, offering a Swiss audience a closer understanding of the atelier’s world: one shaped by craftsmanship, travel, memory, and a deep respect for the artistic traditions of Asia.
